Notes from building PANTHEON.
What the system does, why it is built that way, and the defects that changed my mind. Every claim here is checkable: the code is public where it can be.

architecture
The boundary is the product decision
PANTHEON runs on FastAPI, Postgres and React, which tells you nothing. The part worth describing is a rule about which file may import which, and the fact that a machine refuses the commit when it is broken.
-
measurement
A wallpaper you cannot profile
TerraFirma draws the real sky under your desktop icons. The interesting problem was not the astronomy. it was that the code could not be measured until it was moved.

What it takes to let an agent act
Wiring a model to a prompt is a demo. The distance between that and something you can put other people's money through is four specific mechanisms, none of them the model.

testing
The guard that was green because it could not see
A test that stops absolute dates entering a suite had been passing for weeks. It was passing because its regex could only see one of the two ways a date gets written.
